10 Date Flexible Training Progression

Speed training is foundational for youth athletes, enhancing their ability to perform quick, explosive movements essential in any sport. By focusing on Speed, Agility, and Quickness (SAQ) training, we target both linear and multidirectional speed, using nationally accredited (NASM & NSCA) methodologies to optimize athletic development safely and effectively at an age-appropriate progression level.

Our speed training program includes:

  • Acceleration and Deceleration Mechanics: Teaching young athletes proper body positioning, movement technique, and balance control for quick starts and efficient stops.
  • Neuromuscular Efficiency: We develop coordination between the brain and muscles to improve response time and reduce injury risk.
  • Progressive Overload & Plyometrics: Controlled drills and exercises increase muscular strength and elasticity, building power without overstraining growing bodies.
  • Reactive Training: Incorporating quick decision-making to improve cognitive processing alongside physical performance, essential for on-field awareness and adaptability.
