VSP Spotlight: Lehigh Women’s Lacrosse Commit – Harper Lapin
This week’s VSP spotlight is Harper Lapin! Harper is a senior lacrosse player at Harrison HS & is committed to play lacrosse next year at Division 1 Lehigh University!

Harper started training at VSP in the summer of 2024 and has been consistently killing it ever since! She is a model of consistency and the results that have come from that are undeniable.
Let’s dive into it:
Stability
Harper’s stability was most definitely a point of emphasis for her training plan this off-season. Coming off an ACL tear in 2022 – we wanted to increase her single leg stability to help prevent any future injuries on the field. In the images below you can see how much her stability on each of her legs individually have improved in the past 4 months.

Strength & Power
For Harper, increasing her upper & lower body strength & power were something that we thought could elevate her game to the next level. Already having the skill to score at ease against top HS competition, being able to be more physical with her competition leading up to Lehigh could help with the transition to college lacrosse next year.
You can see in the images below how much strength and power she really gained: Increased amount of total push ups, increased force output on her upper half, above average force output on her lower half compared to girls her age, & an increase on EVERY single jumping metric we measure in our IAA!

Speed
Being an athlete who has previously injured her knee, Harper needed to be able to trust her mechanics and newfound strength and power when running at top speed. After getting over that hurdle, the speed came easy. She is now running at nearly 15 MPH – which is 4 MPH above average for girls her age.

Overall, Harper is a dedicated, skilled, and determined athlete and lacrosse player. We are super proud of all of her hard work & we know she won’t slow down anytime soon.
Keep it up Harp!
